We are excited to support and work with this talented group of athletes leading into the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond. The successful 2016 intake is represented by 15 sports with 23 athletes from High Performance and 18 athletes from Paralympic.

As we build up to Rio there’s a number of athletes to follow, one being 50km race walker, Jared Tallent who won a silver medal at this year’s Athletics World Championships and is aiming for his third appearance at an Olympic Games.

In the Paralympic group keep an eye on Brayden Davidson, after a successful 2015 breaking the long jump record for his classification early in the session.  He then went on to win bronze at the 2015 IPC World Athletics Championships in the long jump event and looking for his Paralympic debut in Rio.

In addition 18 junior country athletes have been awarded Country Athlete Awards for 2016.
